The STEM Discovery Program at the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School uses the Lincoln Interactive curriculum to prepare students for careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The program incorporates Lincoln Interactive’s Cutting Edge Science courses, as well as new Lincoln Interactive courses developed specifically for the program. These courses introduce students to contemporary topics being studied by today’s STEM professionals. Each course utilizes multimedia tools to connect students with experts at several research and educational institutions across the country.
The STEM Discovery Program consists of four schools, each concentrating on a specific area of STEM: the School of Science, the School of Technology, the School of Engineering, and the School of Mathematics. Each school of study is a four-year program designed to prepare participating students for college and a STEM-related career.
The first offering available to PA Cyber students will be the School of Engineering. It is open to all incoming freshmen for the 2011 – 2012 school year.
